Hidden caves in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷

After exploring Puerto Rico since my first trip in 2021, I still find some beautiful sites that just amaze me. Charco Azul & Cuevas Arenales (Blue Pool & Sand Cave) in Vega Baja is one of these places.

Located less than an hour’s drive from of San Juan, this little area looks like it is from another planet or era. Millions of years of rain and river water has carved these rocks into beautifully odd formations. It is a great place to spend a few hours cooling off.

You can take a tour or just come by yourself, once you park at the point where gps brings you there’s a short 15-20min walk to get to the river

You must know how to swim to be able to get to the places in my photos, water is very deep and you also must be able to climb the rocks to get to the top of the cave.

If you decide to visit please be careful and leave no trace!
