Christian Slater, most-loved in the GLAMOUR office for his roles in Heathers, True Romance and Interview With A Vampire, has married his girlfriend of three years, Brittany Lopez.
A rep for the actor, 44, confirmed to People magazine that he tied the knot with Lopez, a business development consultant, in Florida at a small, impromptu ceremony on Monday at the courthouse in Coral Gables.
The actor was previously married to Ryan Haddon, with whom he has two children and split in 2005. He also famously dated Tamara Mellon, formerly of Jimmy Choo.
Slater met his new wife staying on Florida's Little Palm Island a few years ago, telling TV host Jimmy Fallon they met in a rather strange twist of events: he thought he'd witnessed her propose to a woman, and went over to congratulate the happy couple, only to realise she'd actually just been helping her aunt take a photograph:
"I thought I'd just witnessed a nice lesbian engagement so I was coming over to say congratulations...But it turns out it was her aunt and she was just trying to help her aunt capture the beauty and the romance of the park...The next thing I knew we were hanging out in the Everglades."
Slater can soon be seen in Nymphomaniac, Lars Von Trier's controversial movie also starring Uma Thurman, Shia LaBeouf, and Jamie Bell, slated as "a wild and poetic story of a woman's erotic journey from birth to the age of 50 as told by the main character, a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac."
