Christian Slater didn’t want James Franco to one-up him in sex scenes

Christian Slater was flanked by go-go boys jiggling in jockstraps at East Village gay bar the Cock on Thursday night for the after-party of his new flick “King Cobra.”

Attendees at the sweaty soiree sipped Svedka cocktails and took home gift bags filled with lube.

Slater was debating with director Justin Kelly about whether to fork over a few dollar bills to the dancers, but Slater didn’t have any bills on him, according to a spy.

Before the wild party, Slater dished about sex scenes at the IFC premiere of the twisted film about the real-life murder of a gay-porn producer by a rival smut peddler.

Slater said he told Kelly he didn’t want co-star James Franco to one-up him on-screen.

“James was going to be doing the lion’s share of the sexual aspects [of the film] and then I got competitive… We even improv’d some stuff,” he said during a Q&A before adding, “OK, I’ll stop — but yeah, great direction!”

Kelly chimed in that Slater and actor Garrett Clayton had one spontaneous moment when “[Christian] pushes him up against the closet door… That was not written or planned. That [was] Christian saying, ‘Where’s my gay sex scene?’ ”

Slater, who’s married to Brittany Lopez, added, “Garrett was damn cute. Let’s get honest about it here.”
