They Do! Christian Slater Marries Girlfriend Brittany Lopez

Christian Slater is a married man again.

The "Heathers" actor, 44, married longtime girlfriend Brittany Ann Lopez, 26, on Monday at a courthouse in Coral Gables, Florida.

The wedding seemed to come a bit later than originally planned. The couple announced their engagement in February, and in May the actor told People that they were planning a July wedding.

"It will be good, intimate and small and family members. It will be nice," he told the magazine at ABC's upfronts in May.

"Honestly, you gotta get a planner and do all that, but we will get it organized," he continued. "We had a big engagement party on the 31st of December and it was nice, it was like a New Year's and we had all the family come, 200 people, so it kind of already feels like we did the wedding, so we are just going to do a nice backyard situation."

It's the second marriage for Slater. He was previously married to Ryan Haddon, with whom he has two children, Jaden Christopher, 14, and Eliana Sophia, 12. The couple divorced in 2006.

Slater was a huge star in the '90s, appearing in such popular films as "True Romance," "Interview With the Vampire," and "Pump Up the Volume." His new TV series, "Mind Games," co-starring Steve Zahn, is set to premiere on ABC in March.

Slater has attempted two small-screen comebacks in recent years with shows that didn't stick around for too long — 2008's "My Own Worst Enemy" (lasting nine episodes on NBC) and 2009's "The Forgotten" (lasting 18 episodes on ABC).

Let's hope the third time's a charm for the newlywed.
